Building Materials/Tools Warehouse Sales Associate

Join the Habitat for Humanity ReStore team! Our mission is to build homes, communities, and hope for local families in Essex County! Responsibilities: Tuesday-Saturday 10am-3pm (operating hours Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5pm and working hours may be flexible. Head the building materials departments: price goods, measure doors/windows, organize/stock departments Assist customers and donors with questions, product knowledge and load (or unload) merchandise. Use judgement and experience to screen for product usability during donation drop offs (will train!). Performs well in a fast paced, quickly changing environment. Ability to follow directions. Will perform additional tasks as needed (repairs, cleaning). Maintain professionalism. Maintain an effective working relationship with ReStore staff, volunteers, Habitat homeowners, ReStore customers, and donors. Requirements: Expertise with tools/hardware/building materials. Experience lifting and maneuvering heavy tools. Experience with building/taking apart items such as racking. Ability to lift 50 lbs. independently and work as a team to move larger items. Customer Service Oriented Self-Motivated Independent Thinker High school diploma or equivalent.
