Poppin Dispensary is a new dispensary opening in Chelsea, NY, near Hudson Yards. We plan to become a local staple and resource by focusing on an excellent customer experience and expedited transactions. Position Overview We are urgently hiring knowledgeable, friendly, and professional Budtenders to join our team. Budtenders are responsible for assisting customers, educating them about cannabis products, and ensuring an exceptional in-store experience while maintaining compliance with New York State cannabis regulations. Responsibilities Welcome and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner. Educate customers about cannabis products, including flower, pre-rolls, vapes, edibles, and concentrates. Provide personalized product recommendations based on customer preferences and desired effects. Accurately process transactions, accurately using the dispensary POS system. Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with all state regulations. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor. Stay up to date on product knowledge, new arrivals, and promotions. Assist in compliant inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and organizing products for easy access. Uphold excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or scheduling appointments, creating a professional and friendly communication channel. Qualifications and Experience Must be 21 years of age or older. Looking for someone reliable, punctual, and team-oriented. Previous retail sales or customer services experience is preferred, especially within dispensaries or specialty retail environments. Supervising experience in a retail or hospitality setting is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and team coordination abilities. Knowledge of cannabis products or related industry experience is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key! Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. Ability to communicate in in multiple languages is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment is necessary. Ability to stand for extended periods is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math for accurate transactions will be essential. Schedule Day, evening, and weekend shifts available.
