Brewery Delivery Driver (Oakland)

Original Pattern Brewing is an award winning (2025 WBC, 2023, 2022 & 2021 GABF medals!), employee owned brewery located in Oakland CA. We are expanding rapidly and package cans and draft to sell through the tasting room and have an extensive customer base and distribution network throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Job Summary The Delivery team is responsible for delivering our beer to our customers throughout the greater Bay Area. This is the perfect entry position into a Production Brewery for anyone that has a passion for craft beer but no professional brewing experience. The right candidate will have impeccable attention to detail, be focused on quality, safety-minded, efficient, a great work ethic, a positive attitude and the desire to be part of our team. Job Requirements · A passion for quality craft beer · Impeccable attention to detail · Ability to take direction and follow SOPs · To work both independently and in a team environment · Possess strong troubleshooting skills · Ability to start early and end late, typical hours are 6 AM to 6 PM Tuesday-Friday · Must be at least 21 years of age and authorized to work in California · Ensure you are punctual, regular in attendance and have a positive attitude · Reliable transportation · Must have a clean driving record (copy of DMV Motor Vehicle record required) · Must be able to safely operate commercial vans, box trucks and forklift Duties and Responsibilities · Picking cans and kegs at the warehouse for delivery · Loading vans for delivery · Delivering beer to our accounts · Collecting empty kegs from our accounts · Completing delivery paperwork and collecting payments · General warehouse maintenance and cleaning · Occasional help at the brewery including packaging · Maintain workplace safety · Keep detailed records · Maintain a clean work environment at all times · Lift, drag, carry and manipulate kegs, cases, raw materials · Perform other related duties as assigned Physical requirements · The job is physical and the applicant must be able to bend over, kneel, crouch, twist and sit and stand for the duration of a shift (up to 12 hours) · Lift 55lbs and maneuver 160lbs repeatedly · Temperatures within the work environment are extreme for long periods of time and can be hot, cold, wet and noisy Compensation · Starting pay is $20/hour. Pay rate is adjusted once drivers establish track record of safety, accuracy, reliability and timeliness with annual increases after that. The delivery team works 10-12 hours/day Tuesday-Friday with a significant amount of overtime. A typical week is 44 hours, 13 hours of overtime and 31 hours of regular time.
