Bread Route Driver Position - Amoroso's

Monday through Saturday (11:30 PM – Approximately 8:00 AM) (Sundays Off) Route Area: Delaware County, PA (Upper Darby, Springfield, Havertown) Join our dynamic team as a Bread Route Driver, where you will be the vital link between Amoroso's Bakery products and our retail customers. This energetic role involves delivering fresh bread and baked goods efficiently and safely to various Assigned Accounts along an Established Route. Building strong customer relationships, and ensuring each delivery meets quality standards. Responsibilities: Safely operate the Company Commercial Truck while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Manage the Loading, Unloading, Stocking, and Rotating of Bakery products. Driving the Established Route to deliver bread and bakery products to Assigned Accounts promptly and accurately. Maintaining and Building positive relationships with store managers, owners, and staff through professional communication and excellent customer service. Conduct merchandising activities by organizing product displays, ensuring proper placement on shelves, and rotating products. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including Invoices, proof of delivery, etc. Follow organizational procedures for Route Planning, Vehicle Maintenance, and compliance with traffic laws. Experience: Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record Proven experience in commercial truck driving or route delivery, preferably within retail or food distribution sectors. Strong knowledge of driving regulations, including DOT requirements and safe driving practices. Basic math skills for handling load and inventory counts. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical endurance throughout the workday. Retail store experience is a plus, especially in merchandising or customer relationship building roles. Demonstrated organizational skills to manage routes efficiently and ensure timely deliveries.
