BRANCH MANAGER

Hilo Branch Manager Position Summary The Hilo Branch Manager is responsible for the overall performance and leadership of the Hilo branch. This position provides direction and coordination across sales, customer service, transportation, warehousing, and administrative functions to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable operations. The Branch Manager works closely with the Sales, Distribution, Production, and Customer Service staff to achieve branch objectives, improve operational efficiency, and deliver exceptional customer service. The position is accountable for branch performance, employee engagement, operational execution, and continuous improvement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Provide leadership and direction for all branch personnel. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and respect. Coach, mentor, and develop employees and supervisors. Conduct regular team meetings and performance discussions. Address employee concerns and help foster a positive work environment. Partner with Human Resources regarding recruiting, employee relations, performance management, and training. Operations Management Oversee daily branch operations to ensure efficient execution of customer deliveries and services. Coordinate activities between sales, transportation, customer service, warehouse, and production teams. Ensure delivery routes, staffing, and operational resources are aligned to meet customer needs. Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and service levels. Monitor branch KPIs and develop action plans to drive improvement. Sales & Customer Service Support Support sales growth and customer retention initiatives. Work closely with Sales personnel to improve execution, service, and customer satisfaction. Participate in key customer visits and help resolve escalated customer concerns. Ensure customer issues are addressed promptly and professionally. Promote strong communication between sales, customer service, and operations teams. Transportation & Distribution Work closely with the Distribution personnel to ensure efficient and effective route operations. Monitor route performance, labor utilization, service levels, and overtime. Support initiatives that improve route efficiency and operational effectiveness. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Administrative & Financial Management Provide oversight of branch office and administrative functions. Ensure accurate reporting, recordkeeping, and operational controls. Monitor branch expenses and support profitability objectives. Utilize operational and financial reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities. Safety & Compliance Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, food safety, and company requirements. Maintain a safe working environment for all employees. Participate in accident investigations and corrective action planning as needed. Other Duties Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in food distribution, dairy, beverage, transportation, or related industries. Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving operational improvement. Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience utilizing KPIs and operational metrics to drive performance.
