Box Truck Owner Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Box Truck Owner Operator to join our dynamic delivery team. In this role, you will leverage your commercial driving expertise and warehouse experience to ensure timely and safe deliveries across designated routes. As an owner-operator, you will be responsible for managing your own vehicle while providing exceptional customer service and adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to operate a box truck, handle manual transmissions, and contribute directly to our logistics operations with energy and professionalism. Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck for local deliveries, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of goods. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while following safe lifting practices. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route progress or issues. Adhere strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, traffic laws, and safety standards during all driving activities. Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries and responding courteously to customer inquiries. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition; report any maintenance concerns promptly. Manage route driving efficiently using mobile devices or GPS tools to optimize delivery schedules. Requirements Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or courier services with a focus on box trucks or vans. Valid driver’s license appropriate for operating a box truck, with a clean driving record. Experience with manual transmission vehicles preferred; ability to operate manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks is essential. Strong warehouse experience including material handling, moving heavy loads, and warehouse operations. Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards related to weight handling in the workplace. Ability to lift heavy items safely and perform manual handling tasks regularly throughout shifts. Familiarity with route driving using mobile devices or navigation tools; excellent time management skills.
