Job Type: 1099 Independent Contractor Compensation: Varies by lane – gross $5,000–$8,000/week Experience: 1 year preferred (not required) Responsibilities Operate a box truck or van to transport goods to various locations. Load and unload cargo using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts. Follow assigned routes and schedules while maintaining compliance with traffic regulations. Ensure the safe handling of merchandise during transit and delivery. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing any concerns. Perform routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance standards are met. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization. Skills Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with clients and address their needs. Experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for loading and unloading cargo. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes. Proficient in operating box trucks, vans, and related vehicles. Experience with route driving to optimize delivery efficiency. Knowledge of using forklifts and pallet jacks for material handling.
