Box Truck Owner Operator

Duties Safely operate a box truck to complete scheduled deliveries and pickups within designated routes Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment such as forklifts when necessary Ensure all deliveries are accurate, complete, and on time while adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Maintain proper documentation for each delivery, including manifests, delivery receipts, and route logs Communicate effectively with dispatch teams using mobile devices to receive updates and report issues promptly Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance with maintenance schedules Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries and pickups Skills Proven experience in commercial driving, delivery driving, or courier services involving box trucks or vans Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and DOT regulations for safe transportation of goods Warehouse experience including material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks and forklifts is preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper lifting practices in accordance with workplace weight handling standards Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and manual handling techniques for moving cargo efficiently Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude during interactions with clients Competence in operating mobile devices for navigation, communication, and documentation purposes This role is ideal for motivated individuals who enjoy driving, manual handling tasks, and delivering exceptional service.
