Surplus Outlet, a retail grocery store outlet operation with two retail stores has an immediate opening at their Dry Warehouse Division located at 351 N. 5th Street, Northumberland, PA for the following positions: Full & Part-Time Positions available for: Box Truck Driver/Warehouse Order Selector We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Local Box Truck Driver / Warehouse Order Selector to join our grocery store team. This position combines warehouse responsibilities with local delivery driving. The successful candidate will accurately select and prepare grocery orders, safely load and unload products, and deliver merchandise to our stores within the local area. This is a hands-on position that requires physical activity, attention to detail, safe driving habits, and a strong commitment to customer service. Local Box Truck Delivery Safely operate a company box truck on local delivery routes. Deliver grocery products accurately and on schedule. Assist with unloading deliveries at stores or designated locations. Handle products carefully to prevent damage during transportation. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Maintain delivery records and promptly report vehicle or equipment issues. Follow all applicable DOT, traffic, and company safety requirements. Essential Responsibilities Warehouse Order Selection Accurately select grocery orders according to pick lists. Organize, palletize, wrap, and stage orders for delivery. Load and unload cases and pallets safely using appropriate equipment. Rotate products and follow proper FIFO (first-in, first-out) procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and loading area. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Report damaged, missing, or short-dated products to management. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a safe driving record. Previous box truck, delivery, warehouse, grocery, or order-picking experience preferred. Ability to safely operate a box truck and warehouse equipment. Ability to read and accurately follow pick lists, delivery documents, and instructions. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Dependable attendance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Professional and courteous attitude with coworkers and vendors. Physical Requirements Ability to repeatedly lift and carry grocery cases and other products, potentially weighing up to 50 pounds or more. Ability to safely climb in and out of a delivery truck and move products throughout the warehouse and delivery locations. Job Hours: Full-Time: Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Weekends and Holidays off. Part-Time: Flexible Schedule Monday through Friday. Job Types: Full-Time and Part-time Compensation: Wages based off of experience and qualifications.
