Box Truck Driver (OTR)

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong understanding of truck driving regulations and the ability to operate different types of vehicles, including tractor-trailers and tankers. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. Duties Operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers, to transport freight to designated locations. Follow assigned routes and schedules while adhering to traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Manage loading and unloading of cargo, utilizing forklifts when necessary. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and cargo details as required by law. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or any issues encountered during transport. Ensure that all freight is secured properly to prevent damage during transit. Adhere to company policies regarding safety practices and procedures. Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with route driving and freight transportation. Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Experience with tanker operations is a plus. Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading tasks. Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required.
