Box Truck Driver

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Box Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. In this role, you will operate commercial box trucks, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and transportation regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks, including those with manual transmissions, on local and over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load and unload freight using proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured correctly for transport Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules and optimize travel time Transport various types of freight, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or is a plus Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking for hazardous materials regulations compliance when applicable Deliver freight to designated locations accurately and professionally, maintaining excellent customer service standards Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with FMCSA regulations Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or truck loading and unloading in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with route driving across local or OTR routes using GPS navigation tools Knowledge of truck driving regulations including DOT (Department of Transportation), FMCSA guidelines, and hazardous materials regulations TWIC Card a plus Ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently Prior experience with refrigerated trailers or specialized cargo handling is advantageous Must have a clean MVR and Back Ground Check This role is perfect for motivated drivers who thrive on moving freight safely while providing exceptional service.
