Box Truck Driver Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced Box Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and picking up of construction materials using a box truck as well as having general knowledge of construction to pick up the correct material. This role involves commercial truck driving, adhering to DOT regulations, and ensuring timely delivery and proper handling of goods. The driver will also be responsible for loading and unloading materials at various job sites, maintaining safety standards, and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck in compliance with all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and company policies. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition before each shift. Review material list needed for the next day to prepare or pickup materials needed Deliver construction materials to designated locations efficiently and on schedule. Load and unload construction materials, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage or injury. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs as required by regulatory agencies. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues. Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper securing of loads and adherence to traffic laws. Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including organizing inventory and preparing shipments. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, preferably with box trucks or similar vehicles. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial driving and transportation safety. Experience in loading and unloading construction materials or similar cargo is preferred. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to operate trucks safely under various conditions and maintain professionalism on the road.
