Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks and tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers and flatbed configurations, adhering to all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) driving routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across multiple locations Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport Transport hazardous materials or dangerous goods following hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including logs for load & unload activities, route details, and delivery receipts Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any route or delivery issues Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation, preferably with box trucks or tractor-trailers, 3 months experience Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred but not mandatory depending on route requirements Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation is a plus Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles and perform manual handling tasks safely Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient logistics cargo handling Strong understanding of truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling techniques Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills keep goods moving smoothly!
