Box Truck Driver

Duties Safely operate box trucks, to transport freight over short or long distances Plan routes using GPS navigation to optimize delivery schedules and ensure timely arrivals Load and unload cargo with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of hazardous or dangerous goods according to Hazardous Materials Regulations (Hazmat) Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and hazardous materials regulations at all times Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking for mechanical issues and proper documentation Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and cargo using electronic logging devices in accordance with DOT regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate deliveries and resolve route or delivery issues promptly Requirements Valid driver licence Proven experience in box truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation with a focus on route driving and logistics cargo handling Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, Hazardous Materials Regulations, DOT regulations, and safety standards for dangerous goods transportation Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or specialized freight is a plus Ability to navigate using GPS navigation systems efficiently Strong physical stamina for load & unload tasks and manual handling of freight in various environments Excellent driving record with a focus on safety compliance and adherence to all traffic laws Pay: $2,000.00 - $2,500.00 per week Shift availability: Day Shift (Preferred) Willingness to travel: 25% (Preferred) Work Location: On the road
