Duties Safely operate box trucks following FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across the state and local destinations Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured according to hazardous materials regulations when applicable Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking for mechanical issues and compliance with safety standards Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records in line with FMCSA and hazardous materials regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate route adjustments or address delivery issues promptly Experience Proven experience as a commercial truck driver or delivery driver with a focus on truck loading/unloading and route driving Valid drivers license Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials handling, and safety procedures for dangerous goods Experience operating manual transmission vehicles and using GPS navigation systems in a professional driving environment Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling, truck driving safety standards, and load securement techniques Prior experience with freight transportation across OTR routes or local deliveries will set you apart Embark on a journey where your driving skills fuel our success!
