Box Truck Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and professional Box Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating box trucks to deliver goods to various locations while complying with all safety and regulatory standards. This role involves loading and unloading cargo, adhering to DOT regulations, and handling hazardous materials when necessary. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks to transport goods to designated destinations, following all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit. Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations at all times during operations. Handle hazardous materials (hazmat) in accordance with safety protocols and legal requirements when applicable. Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation as required. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues. Adhere to company policies related to safety, security, and operational procedures. Skills Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) C or B preferred but not mandatory depending on the role. Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance standards for commercial vehicle operation. Experience with loading and unloading cargo safely and efficiently. Ability to handle hazardous materials (hazmat) following safety guidelines when required. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for managing delivery documentation. Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients. Dependable, punctual, and committed to safety practices on the road.
