Box Truck Driver

Job Overview Walker Express Transport is a transportation company based in Easton, Pennsylvania, operating a 26-foot box truck on local, regional, and over-the-road routes. Driver Role & Responsibilities Safely operate a 26-foot box truck for over-the-road (OTR) routes Complete pickups and deliveries safely and on time Maintain clear and consistent communication with the team Report delays, breakdowns, accidents, or other issues immediately Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Properly secure and handle freight Use Motive/ELD to accurately log driving time, breaks, and required inspections Follow DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies Keep the truck clean and take proper care of company equipment Be dependable, punctual, professional, and be able to problem-solve independently while on the road Be comfortable staying out on the road for extended periods Must be willing to sleep in the cab while OTR. A rooftop sleeper will be added in the future. Pay Structure This is a 1099 independent contractor position , paid $0.50–$0.60 per mile , depending on experience. Your weekly pay is based on the number of miles you drive — the more miles you run, the more you earn. We receive consistent loads daily, giving drivers the opportunity to stay moving and put in miles. Drivers are expected to run a minimum of 2,000 miles per week. Payment Details Pay Rate: $0.50–$0.60 per mile Pay Schedule: Weekly Position Type: 1099 Independent Contractor Payment Method: Zelle No paper checks Example Weekly Gross Pay 2,000 miles: $1,000–$1,200 2,500 miles: $1,250–$1,500 3,000 miles: $1,500–$1,800 3,500 miles: $1,750–$2,100 Pay examples are gross pay before taxes and are based on miles driven and the driver's assigned per-mile rate.
