Box Truck Driver

Position Description: The Box Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a 26-foot box truck to transport supplies, equipment, inventory, products, and other materials between the warehouse, pharmacy, vendors, suppliers, and designated company locations. This position ensures deliveries are completed safely, accurately, securely, and on time while maintaining required documentation, supporting vehicle upkeep, and following company safety standards, DOT regulations, OSHA standards, and applicable procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Safely operate a 26-foot box truck to transport supplies, inventory, equipment, products, and other materials between the warehouse, pharmacy, vendors, suppliers, and designated company locations. Load, unload, and move pallets, totes, boxes, and other materials using safe material-handling practices and manual or electric pallet jacks. Verify deliveries against packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness. Secure loads appropriately to help prevent shifting, damage, or loss during transport. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance, safety, or operational concerns. Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle inspection records, and other required documentation. Communicate effectively with warehouse, pharmacy, vendors, suppliers, and other internal departments regarding deliveries, schedules, and related needs. Maintain the assigned vehicle in a clean, organized, and safe operating condition. Follow all company policies, DOT regulations, OSHA standards, and safety procedures while performing assigned duties. Report delivery discrepancies, damaged items, accidents, incidents, or safety hazards promptly and in accordance with company procedures. Safeguard company property, documentation, inventory, and business information during transportation and delivery activities. Follow established handling, chain-of-custody, or documentation requirements for materials and inventory, as applicable. NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES Assist with warehouse organization, inventory staging, and general material movement as needed to support daily operations. Support general housekeeping of the truck, loading areas, and related workspaces to maintain a safe and organized environment. Assist with inventory counts, special projects, or other operational support activities as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required. Previous experience safely operating a 26-foot box truck required. Experience operating manual and electric pallet jacks. Ability to frequently lift, carry, and move up to 75 pounds and push or pull loaded manual and electric pallet jacks. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb in and out of a truck, and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the workday. Ability to read and follow packing slips, purchase orders, shipping documents, route instructions, and safety procedures. Basic knowledge of vehicle inspection practices and safe material-handling procedures preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Reliable, dependable, and customer-service oriented.
