Classic Beverage CoJob Title: Driver Associate Reports to: Operations Manager Summary: Load and drive non-CDL box truck over established route to deliver product Shift: Tue-Fri (hours may vary depending on route) Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip and safety inspections on equipment Communicate changes to delivery schedules, delays, arrivals, and/or equipment problems as encountered Drive established route to deliver product to assigned customers Resolve customer concerns/complaints regarding breakage, and or incorrect product being shipped from CBC warehouse Assemble customer orders utilizing hand trucks, truck, ramp, lift gate, or other handling equipment to move product from truck and place product in storage and/or account specific areas Record account activity and produce accurate and thorough delivery records Collect monies owed to CBC per company policies Provide high level of customer service Comply with company safety standards, DOT regulations, the Federal Motor Carrier (FMC) guidelines traffic laws and warehouse/delivery policies and procedures This position may require continual sitting, standing, reaching, lifting, lowering and/or moving cases of product which can weigh up to 75 LBS Able to work flexible 4 x 10+ work week Tuesday-Friday, including early morning start times, work overtime as needed, especially during October, November and December and holiday weeks Based upon assigned route, overnight travel may be required Qualifications High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years’ experience in box truck route delivery Must possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Must be able to pass a (DOT) driver fitness physical Ability to count and perform basic math with or without a calculator Language skills which allow employee to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and invoices Provide high level of customer service to ensure accounts are satisfied with product and timeliness of deliveries. Ability to lift up to 75LBS consistently and on a repetitive basis, kneel, bend, twist, climb, reaching over-head to accomplish task. Competent working independently daily with minimal supervision and be able to perform essential job duties and all other special projects assigned.
