Description

Overview

The Westminster Bookstore is looking to hire a detail and process-oriented person who is passionate about the role of books in the life and health of the church and family. The Bookstore Operations Assistant will report to the Associate Director of Customer Experience and will assist with the maintenance and execution of daily operations for the bookstore as well as Storyglory Kids, a book fair initiative in partnership with the bookstore.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process Bookstore returns, mail, other shipments, and provide books for seminary requests at the WTS campus
  • Work with various other team members as needed in order to assist Bookstore processes
  • Attend bookstore team meetings (Remotely through zoom)
  • Provide operational service for Storyglory Kids, including but not limited to…

-Packing, receiving, ordering, and organizing book fair supplies and shipments at the WTS campus.

-Assisting with the creation and improvement of Storyglory supplies processes

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Westminster Bookstore’s resources
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree; candidates with seminary education preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of service to others

  • Applicants must be tech-savvy. We rely heavily on software to get our work done. You don’t need to know how to code, but you need to know your way around a computer and be able to quickly learn new systems.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • This is an hourly, part-time position, with 5-15 hrs/wk are expected
  • This is an on-site position
  • Must have a fast, reliable computer that can be used for work. Mac preferred.
  • Must be able to lift and move boxes up to 90 lbs
