Book Pickup & Fulfillment Associate – Austin, TX

About Us We’re an online book retailer that buys books in bulk from customers across the Austin area and sells them to readers nationwide. We’re a small, close-knit team, and we’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented person to join us. The Role This is a hybrid field and office position. You’ll be the friendly face of our company, visiting customers around Austin to pick up the books they’re selling to us. When you’re not out on pickups, you’ll be in our office packaging orders for customers who have purchased from us. What You’ll Do Complete 3-15 local book pickups per week throughout the Austin area Greet customers professionally, review the books, and answer questions about the pickup process Carefully box, label, and organize books during pickup so nothing is damaged or mixed up in transit Keep pickups properly sorted and stored once back at the office Pack and prepare sold books for shipping, with accurate labeling Maintain a clean, orderly workspace in a small office environment What We’re Looking For Highly organized, with a talent for keeping things neat in a small space Meticulous attention to detail, especially with labeling, sorting, and boxing Strong communication and people skills; you’re comfortable and personable with customers in their homes Dependable and punctual, able to manage a flexible pickup schedule Able to lift and carry boxes of books and lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis Reliable personal vehicle with a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance Familiarity with the Austin area is a plus Compensation & Benefits Pay: $18 per hour Weekly gas stipend to cover job-related mileage 4 days paid vacation time 50% discount on books Schedule Full-time, typically Monday-Friday | Pickup schedule varies week to week Location: Austin, TX (in-person) How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief note about why you’d be a great fit.
