Book Packaging & Shipping Assistant — Work from Home

We’re a small memoir company seeking a responsible, detail-oriented individual to prepare books for shipment from home. Ideally located in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Seniors are welcome to apply! Pay & Hours Starting pay: $18.45 per hour, with potential for increases. Hours vary based on order volume, with more hours anticipated during the holiday season. Responsibilities Receive and open incoming packages of books - shipped to you. Inspect each book for print defects and report any issues to our team. Repackage books using supplied materials and packaging guidelines. Weigh finished packages and report their weights. Print shipping labels supplied by our team and attach them to packages. Coordinate pickups or drop off packages with the designated carrier, such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, or DHL. Requirements Reliable, organized, and attentive to detail. Able to lift and handle packages weighing up to 25 pounds. Have a standard home printer for shipping labels. Have a clean, secure space to receive, store, inspect, and package books. Able to arrange carrier pickups and transport packages for drop-off as needed. All packaging materials and guidelines will be provided.
