Analyze BOMs to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve production efficiency. Create and manage work orders for manufacturing and assembly processes. Ensure work orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
Collaborate with inventory management to ensure materials availability aligns with production schedules. Maintain documentation related to BOMs and work orders in the company"s ERP system. Conduct regular audits of BOMs and work orders to ensure compliance with company standards.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to BOM discrepancies and work order execution. Provide training and support to team members on BOM and work order processes. Generate reports on BOM accuracy, work order completion, and material usage for management review.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance BOM and work order processes.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within manufacturing or engineering environments. CAD software knowledge/experience - ability to read/interpret engineered CAD drawings of product to be able to convert to Mfg BOM for on floor production - Proficiency in ERP systems, such as SAP, SAGE, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and lifecycle management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience with change management processes.
• Familiarity with inventory management and production planning.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
