BOM & Master Data Manager (Cosmetics Manufacturing)

Job Summary COSMAX USA is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced BOM & Master Data Manager to oversee the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of master data, Bills of Materials (BOM), and Fill & Assembly (F&A) specifications within our cosmetic manufacturing operations. This role works closely with Sales, Project Management, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure accurate product specifications, efficient new product launches, and seamless execution of replenishment orders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cosmetic packaging, manufacturing processes, and material management, along with excellent organizational and cross-functional communication skills. Key Responsibilities Create, maintain, and manage master data and system codes for finished goods, bulk materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and packaging components. Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) for new product launches and replenishment orders. Prepare detailed Fill & Assembly (F&A) specifications, including fill weights, packaging configurations, assembly procedures, and production instructions. Document packaging requirements, including artwork, labeling, lot coding, expiration dating, and customer sampling specifications. Define final packaging and shipping requirements, including shipper labels, case configurations, and pallet patterns. Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure product specifications are accurate, validated, and approved prior to production. Maintain master data accuracy within SAP, identify discrepancies, and manage BOM and F&A revisions across manufacturing locations. Maintain organized records of customer approvals, product specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Qualifications Required Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in cosmetic contract manufacturing, beauty packaging, or a related industry. Strong knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) creation, material management, and master data maintenance. Understanding of cosmetic manufacturing processes, packaging components, filling and assembly operations, and shipping requirements. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications Degree or educational background in Packaging Engineering or a related technical field. Experience with SAP, particularly material master data management and BOM functions. Knowledge of production planning, packaging line engineering, and OTC compliance requirements.
