Boiler Operator – Railcar Steaming – All Shifts

Overview As a Boiler Operator – Railcar Steaming – All Shifts, you’ll operate and maintain boiler systems used to steam railcars. You’ll monitor high-pressure steam boilers, inspect equipment, and respond to mechanical issues to keep steaming operations safe and reliable. This role calls for hands-on mechanical ability, careful attention to operating conditions, and readiness to work assigned shifts. Duties Operate boilers and related industrial equipment for railcar steaming; monitor pressure, temperature, and system performance. Inspect, maintain, and repair boilers, mechanical systems, and supporting equipment; identify issues and take appropriate corrective action. Troubleshoot boiler and equipment problems using schematics, technical drawings, and engineering principles. Your impact: Reliable boiler operation helps keep railcar steaming on track and supports safe, consistent service for customers. Follow established operating and safety procedures, document work, and communicate equipment concerns to the appropriate team. Skills Mechanical knowledge, boiler operation, boiler mechanics, and mechanical boiler troubleshooting; experience with industrial or high-pressure steam boilers is valuable. Equipment maintenance, boiler repair, mechanical systems repair, industrial maintenance, and industrial mechanic experience. Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings; engineering troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with industrial equipment is preferred. Field service and customer service experience are helpful. Pay: $23.00 - $35.00 per hour Work Location: In person
