JOB CLASSIFICATION: Part-time or Full-time, Non-Exempt, Hourly Position. SUPERVISION: Responsible to and under the direct supervision of the Owner EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Minimum of a High school diploma/GED and at least five (5) years work experience in a related position. GENERAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: (a) Report for work when scheduled. (b) Shall be familiar with Company Policies, rules, regulations, and procedures. (c) Stays informed of general Company issues and attends related training classes. (d) Must demonstrate honesty, integrity, confidentiality, dependability, and flexibility along with initiative and motivation to organize and complete tasks and meet deadlines, acting independently and with minimum supervision and direction. (e) Shall perform duties and assignments, and conduct self in such a manner as to reflect credit on the Company and contribute to an increasingly better understanding and harmonious relations with the customer and general public. (f) A professional appearance is important along with excellent skills in human relations with the ability to work as a team member. (g) Must be able to perform strenuous tasks such as lifting, carrying, and hiking over rough terrain while carrying equipment. Must be able to pull one to one and one-half inch bulk delivery hose and fittings from Company vehicle to customer tank (maximum 150 feet) 20 to 30 times per day by hand and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds. (h) Lifting, pushing, pulling, bending and climbing in and out of truck numerous times a day. (i) Must possess a clean driving record. (j) Must pass a background check and drug screen. (k) Must live within thirty (30) minute drive time of the Company’s office in Heflin, AL (l) Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions (m) Understands the importance of wearing the required personal protective equipment (n) Know and follow all company safety policies and procedures. Perform work in a safe manner. (o) Perform deliveries in such a manner as to maintain good customer relations. JOB DUTIES: (a) Loads and delivers LP gas via bobtail truck to Company’s customers including residential, commercial and agricultural accounts. (b) Troubleshoots and repairs appliances and equipment by adjusting, cleaning, fixing and/or replacing various components. (c) Makes detailed check of installations, including gas and pressure checks, to ensure proper operations of Company’s and customer’s equipment. (d) Educates customers on the proper operation, maintenance and safety of appliances and gas equipment. (e) Prepares invoices and reports of work performed and gas deliveries in a timely manner. (f) Accepts payments from customers and prepares receipts. Solicits payment of delinquent accounts as required. (g) Operates Company vehicles and equipment in a safe and efficient manner at all times. (h) Inspects Company vehicle daily and reports any problems according to established Company policies and Department of Transportation regulations. (i) Promotes use of LP gas by suggesting additional uses to customers and relating the quality, service and dependability of Company products and services. (j) Available for night, weekend, and holiday after-hours calls on a rotating basis. (k) Performs any other duties as assigned.
