Bobcat Parts Specialist – Equipment Dealership

Swansons' Repair Inc. is a family-owned and operated business that has proudly served the Detroit Lakes area for over 60 years. Our company has grown to offer industry-leading equipment brands, including Bobcat, Scag, STIHL, and Husqvarna. We are currently seeking a motivated, dependable, and customer-focused Bobcat Parts Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for assisting customers with parts purchases, identifying and ordering the correct parts, maintaining inventory, and supporting our service department. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, mechanical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced dealership environment. Previous parts experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual who is eager to learn. Key Responsibilities Assist customers in person and over the phone with parts inquiries, pricing, and availability. Identify and locate Bobcat parts using electronic parts catalogs, diagrams, and equipment serial numbers. Process parts orders, invoices, returns, and customer payments accurately. Order parts from manufacturers and suppliers, including special orders. Receive, inspect, organize, and stock incoming parts shipments. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts. Work closely with service technicians to identify and supply parts needed for equipment repairs. Research parts availability and follow up on backorders and customer orders. Assist customers with selecting parts, accessories, and attachments. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts department. Assist with other dealership operations as needed. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in a parts department, equipment dealership, automotive parts store, or related industry preferred. Knowledge of Bobcat equipment, compact construction equipment, or mechanical parts is a plus. Strong computer skills and ability to learn electronic parts catalogs and dealership software. Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand parts diagrams. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and solve problems. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Previous inventory management or sales experience is beneficial.
