Blue Yonder Consultant – Demand Forecasting Location: Grand Rapids, MI Job Type: Contract Work Arrangement: Onsite/Hybrid Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Blue Yonder Consultant with strong expertise in Demand Forecasting , Azure, Oracle PL/SQL, and UNIX . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with Blue Yonder planning solutions, particularly demand forecasting, along with strong data integration and technical troubleshooting skills. The consultant will work closely with business and technical teams to design, configure, integrate, and support Blue Yonder demand planning solutions within an enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities Blue Yonder – Demand Forecasting Design, configure, implement, and support Blue Yonder Demand Forecasting solutions. Work with business stakeholders to understand demand planning and forecasting requirements. Configure forecasting models, demand planning parameters, hierarchies, calendars, and related planning processes. Analyze forecast accuracy and identify opportunities for process and system improvements. Support demand planning integrations with upstream and downstream enterprise systems. Troubleshoot functional and technical issues within Blue Yonder environments. Participate in enhancements, upgrades, testing, and production support activities. Azure Cloud Work with Microsoft Azure services supporting Blue Yonder applications and integrations. Assist with Azure-based data processing, integration, monitoring, and application environments. Support deployment and troubleshooting of cloud-based solutions. Collaborate with cloud and infrastructure teams on Azure-related requirements. Oracle PL/SQL Develop and maintain Oracle PL/SQL procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and queries. Perform data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting using Oracle databases. Develop SQL queries to support Blue Yonder integrations and reporting requirements. Optimize SQL and PL/SQL code for performance and scalability. Investigate data-related issues across source and target systems. UNIX / Shell Scripting Work extensively in UNIX/Linux environments . Develop and maintain UNIX shell scripts for data processing and application support. Monitor batch jobs, interfaces, and scheduled processes. Troubleshoot file transfers, jobs, scripts, and application issues. Support automated data feeds between Blue Yonder and enterprise applications. Integration & Data Management Design and support data integrations between Blue Yonder, Oracle, Azure, and enterprise applications . Analyze inbound and outbound data interfaces and resolve data-quality issues. Support batch and near-real-time data processing workflows. Perform data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting. Work with integration teams to resolve interface and processing failures. Testing & Production Support Create and execute unit, integration, regression, and system test scenarios. Support UAT and production deployments. Analyze production issues and perform root-cause analysis. Provide technical documentation and support knowledge-transfer activities. Participate in on-call or production-support activities when required. Required Skills Strong hands-on experience with Blue Yonder Demand Forecasting . Experience with Blue Yonder planning/forecasting solutions in an enterprise environment. Strong understanding of Demand Planning and Demand Forecasting processes . Strong experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL . Hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux and shell scripting . Experience working with Microsoft Azure . Strong understanding of data integration and batch processing. Experience troubleshooting production issues across application, database, and integration layers. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
