Position Summary The Block Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of concrete block and related materials to customer job sites. This role requires hands-on operation of delivery trucks and forklifts, proper loading and unloading of materials, and maintaining safety and quality standards at all times. The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, values teamwork, and represents A-1 Block professionally at customer locations. Load and unload materials using a forklift and other appropriate equipment. Strap and unstrap loads securely to ensure safe transport and compliance with DOT and company standards. Inspect loads before departure and upon delivery to ensure accuracy and material condition. Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in yard, warehouse, and job-site environments. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, including trucks and yard spaces. Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and operations team members. Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and DOT requirements. Support yard and operations tasks as needed during non-delivery times. Qualifications & Requirements Valid CDL (Class A or B, as required) with a clean driving record. Forklift experience required; certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Experience loading, unloading, strapping, and securing construction materials. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong attention to safety, detail, and accountability. Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy materials with assistance from equipment.
