Key Responsibilities

  • Source qualified vendors and evaluate commercial proposals, considering project specifications, pricing, supplier reliability, lead times, and commercial risks.
  • Negotiate pricing, supplier credit limits, payment terms, and delivery conditions with vendors and subcontractors within delegated authority.
  • Exercise independent judgment in selecting suppliers and determining purchasing terms within delegated authority, and provide substantive recommendations for purchases requiring higher-level approval.
  • Evaluate procurement alternatives and coordinate manufacturing lead times and staged shipments to meet engineering and construction milestones.
  • Prepare, review, and issue project-specific purchase orders in accordance with negotiated terms and company approval requirements.
  • Manage critical project deliveries, evaluate alternative supply or delivery arrangements, and resolve supplier non-conformance and commercial delivery disputes within delegated authority.
  • Collaborate with project teams, accounting, and logistics to evaluate procurement risks and address cost, payment, and delivery issues.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and commercial documentation.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of purchasing or procurement experience preferred, ideally in construction, engineering, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently evaluate procurement alternatives, negotiate commercial terms, and manage project-specific purchasing within delegated authority.
  • Strong communication, commercial negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Experience negotiating pricing, supplier credit arrangements, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and warehouse/inventory management workflows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Mandarin and English bilingual ability preferred.
