Bilingual (Japanese) E-commerce Operations Specialist

About Us Hamana Trading Inc. imports products from Japan and sells them directly to U.S. consumers through our own e-commerce stores and marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay. Our catalog spans Japanese hand tools, esports products, and more — and we're continuing to grow. We're a small, hands-on team — everyone works close to the products and the customers. The Role We're hiring an e-commerce operations specialist to run the day-to-day of our stores. You'll handle order fulfillment, customer service, and inventory in our warehouse, and also own product listings, photography, and channel management across Shopify and marketplaces like Amazon and eBay. In a small team, you won't just execute — you'll help improve how we operate. What You'll Do Operations Order fulfillment: picking, packing, and shipping Inventory management and receiving in the warehouse Customer service (email, in English) Coordination with our suppliers in Japan (in Japanese) Listings, Content & Channel Management Create and update product listings (in English) Product photography for listings Manage our sales channels: Shopify and marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay Manage our social media accounts (posting and community management) Maintain product data, pricing, and inventory records Requirements Fluent in Japanese — daily internal communication and supplier coordination are conducted in Japanese English reading and writing (customer service and listings) Comfortable with physical warehouse work: standing, lifting, and moving packages (up to 50 lbs) Basic computer skills (Excel / Google Sheets or similar) Careful, detail-oriented work habits U.S. work authorization Preferred Qualifications E-commerce operations experience (Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, eBay, or other marketplaces) Experience with product photography or social media management Details Type: Full-time Hours: 40 hours per week Pay: $27 per hour Benefits: Paid time off and paid sick leave Location: Onsite in Costa Mesa, CA (no remote work) Start date: As soon as possible Job Type: Full-time Pay: $27.00 per hour Application Question(s): Are you fluent in Japanese (reading, writing, and speaking)?
