Transportation & Logistics Operations Bi-Lingual (KR/ENG) Sr. Specialist

The Sr. Specialist – Operations Monitoring oversees the real-time performance of dedicated transportation operations. This role ensures operational efficiency, monitors shipment execution, resolves in-transit issues, and supports continuous improvement through data-driven insights. The Sr. Specialist plays a key role in maintaining service level agreements, enhancing visibility, and ensuring the seamless execution of transportation plans.
Responsibilities:
Monitor day-to-day transportation operations across dedicated fleets to ensure adherence to on-time performance and service level.
Track shipments in real time, proactively identify potential delays or disruptions, and initiate corrective actions.
Communicate with carriers, drivers, and internal stakeholders to resolve in-transit exceptions or delivery issues.
Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and GPS/telematics tools to ensure visibility and accurate reporting.
Analyze operational performance metrics and identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with planning, customer service, and warehouse teams to support end-to-end logistics execution.
Maintain detailed logs of incidents, delays, and resolution steps for audit and continuous improvement.
Support the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for operational monitoring and escalation protocols.
Provide leadership guidance to staff and act as a subject matter expert in transportation monitoring.
Assist with training, onboarding, and knowledge sharing within the transportation team.
Qualifications:
Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business, or related field (preferred).
3+ years of experience in transportation operations, preferably with dedicated fleet oversight or dispatch/monitoring roles.
Deep understanding of transportation systems, tracking technology, and logistics workflows.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to act quickly under pressure.
Experience with TMS platforms and real-time tracking systems.
Working knowledge of DOT compliance and transportation regulations.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in a 24/7 operations monitoring or control tower environment.
Proficiency in data analysis and performance reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.).
Strong customer service orientation with cross-functional collaboration skills.

The estimated base salary range for this job is $69,000-73,000. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
