Job Duties and Responsibilities of Battery Maintenance Associate:
• Inspect, recharge, rotate, repair, and replace batteries for electric industrial trucks and warehouse equipment.
• Perform scheduled battery changes to support continuous warehouse operations.
• Monitor battery charging processes and maintain proper fluid levels and specific gravity.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on batteries, stationary chargers, and battery changing equipment.
• Complete daily inspections of battery changing equipment and report repair needs promptly.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and service records for batteries and related equipment.
• Operate material handling equipment safely, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and battery changers.
• Maintain a clean, secure, and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Support additional warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience of Battery Maintenance Associate:
• Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or one year of related warehouse experience.
• Ability to pass required functional capacity and safety assessments.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow manufacturer maintenance specifications.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, safety guidelines, and documentation.
• Basic mathematical skills involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to obtain material handling equipment certification.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and heavier loads occasionally.
