Position Overview We are seeking a personable, professional, and service-oriented, seasonal Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. At Loblolly, our bartenders do much more than prepare and serve drinks. They create a welcoming atmosphere, build relationships with members, and contribute to the exceptional dining and social experiences that make our Club special. The ideal candidate has a passion for hospitality, strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, and spirits, and the ability to provide attentive, personalized service. Whether preparing a favorite cocktail, recommending a new beverage, or remembering a member's preferences, our bartenders play an important role in making every visit enjoyable. Requirements: Responsibilities Member Hospitality: Warmly greet members and their guests, anticipate their needs, and provide friendly, attentive, and personalized service. Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic beverages with consistency, accuracy, and attention to presentation. Beverage Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wines, and beer selections. Make thoughtful recommendations based on member preferences. Member Relationships: Build positive relationships with members, remember their preferences, and contribute to the warm, familiar atmosphere of the Club. Bar Operations: Set up and break down bar stations, prepare garnishes and mixers, stock supplies, and ensure the bar is fully prepared for service. Inventory Management: Monitor beverage and supply levels, assist with inventory counts, rotate stock, and communicate replenishment needs to management. Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting bar area, including glassware, equipment, countertops, and storage areas. Responsible Alcohol Service: Follow all applicable alcohol service laws, Club policies, and responsible beverage service practices. Point-of-Sale Operations: Accurately enter orders, process member charges, and maintain proper billing procedures. Teamwork: Work closely with servers, culinary staff, and fellow bartenders to ensure seamless service, particularly during busy dining periods and special events. Qualifications & Skills Previous bartending experience in a fine dining restaurant, private club, resort, or upscale hospitality environment preferred. Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and beverage preparation techniques. A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional member experiences. Friendly, engaging personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop relationships with members while maintaining professionalism and discretion. Strong attention to detail, organization, and cleanliness. Ability to multitask and maintain composure during busy service periods. Dependable, punctual, and committed to teamwork. Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and carry beverage supplies as required.
