Bartender

Responsibilities Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits, ensuring consistency and quality. Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their overall experience and promote beverage sales. Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing orders, cash transactions, and sales accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards and health regulations. Develop new cocktail recipes and beverage offerings to keep the menu fresh and exciting for returning guests. Handle cash handling responsibilities efficiently while processing payments accurately using POS systems. Collaborate with restaurant staff to coordinate service during busy hours, special events, or catering functions such as banquets or nightclub events. Monitor inventory levels of spirits, wine, beer, mixers, and garnishes; assist with stock replenishment as needed. Demonstrate excellent knowledge of wine types, craft beers, spirits, mixology techniques, and food pairing principles to educate guests and upsell effectively. Uphold high standards of food handling and safety protocols while serving beverages alongside food service when required. Experience Proven experience working as a bartender in fine dining establishments or high-volume venues such as nightclubs or banquet settings. Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently. Demonstrated expertise in mixology with a focus on cocktail creation, beverage recipe development, and presentation skills. Familiarity with beverage industry trends such as craft beer varieties, wine knowledge, spirits expertise, and food pairing techniques. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively while managing multiple orders simultaneously. Previous experience in hospitality industry roles involving food handling, cash handling, serving alcohol responsibly, and maintaining safety standards. Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of bar service. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math proficiency for inventory management.
