Barn Staff
ConfidentialOverview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barn Staff member to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing exceptional care for horses and maintaining the overall functionality of the barn environment. You will be responsible for daily animal care such as feeding, cleaning out stalls, providing fresh water and giving hay to the horses. We have both AM and PM shifts available. The pay is a flat rate of $60 (for PM shift) and $30 (AM shift). PM shifts are typically 3 hours and AM shifts are generally 1.5 hours worth of work. Responsibilities Provide daily care for horses, including feeding, grooming, and health monitoring to promote well-being and proper horse care practices Assist with stable management tasks such as mucking out stalls, bedding replacement, and ensuring clean and safe living conditions for all animals Turning horses in/out General farm and barn upkeep Experience Proven supervising experience or leadership roles within agricultural or farm settings. Hands-on experience operating agricultural tractors, heavy machinery, forklifts, power tools, and hand tools. Strong animal care background with knowledge of livestock management, animal husbandry, and equine experience preferred. Familiarity with farm machinery repair, welding techniques, irrigation systems, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations). Prior outdoor work experience in farming or horticulture environments is highly desirable. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to farming activities and inventory management. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments to ensure a secure working space for all team members. HORSE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Must be reliable, punctual, and responsible Comfortable working around horses and other animals Able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking, bending, and cleaning Must work well independently and as part of a team This role is perfect for proactive individuals passionate about agriculture who want to grow their skills while contributing to a thriving farm operation.
