Barista and Cashier

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista - Customer Service Associate to join our Main Street Country Store team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. You will play a key role in creating memorable experiences that keep our customers coming back. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and utensils. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about items. Be responsible for working in the entire store including gifts, pet supplies, etc. as well as the coffee shop area. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system. Assist with food preparation and handling, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours. Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and assist in training new staff as needed. Perform retail math calculations to manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment. Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry or retail environment is preferred but not required. At least 18 years old. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse clientele. Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food handling practices is a plus. Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with Clover POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous but not mandatory. A passion for coffee, tea, and creating enjoyable customer experiences.
