The roleJob Summary We are seeking an experienced Banquet Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional banquet dining experiences. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and service for large-scale events, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and guest satisfaction. Your leadership will inspire your team to produce innovative menus and maintain efficient kitchen operations that align with our commitment to excellence in hospitality and fine dining. Duties Lead and supervise the banquet kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment focused on culinary excellence. Plan, develop, and execute diverse banquet menus that meet client specifications while maintaining cost control and inventory management. Oversee food production processes, ensuring all dishes are prepared according to quality standards, recipes, and food safety protocols. Manage daily kitchen operations including shift management, food handling, sanitation procedures, and ensuring compliance with food safety sanitizing procedures. Coordinate with event planners and service staff to ensure timely delivery of high-quality meals that exceed guest expectations. Monitor inventory levels, control food costs, and oversee inventory control procedures to minimize waste and optimize resources. Train staff on food preparation techniques, dietary requirements, catering standards, and hospitality best practices to uphold our reputation for fine dining experiences. Skills Extensive banquet experience with a strong background in fine-dining catering or large event food service management. Proven supervising experience leading culinary teams in fast-paced environments such as hotels or restaurants. Deep knowledge of dietary department practices, food safety standards, and sanitizing procedures. Strong skills in food production, menu planning, and kitchen management with an emphasis on quality presentation.
