Bakery Delivery Driver

Wholesale Vegan Bakery is hiring for a Delivery Driver for our multi city route. Duties include early morning deliveries to coffee shops, partner stores and our SPV locations. We provide a company van. Must have clean driving record and provide a current printout from DMV. Please find full description of job below. POSITION SUMMARY Learn products and accounts of established wholesale specialty bakery. Drive company vehicle over established routes to deliver products. Routes vary and include the greater Sacramento area, entire SF Bay area, and Nevada County. Deliver stock, ingredients, etc between our locations. Help out in packaging department when needed ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Travel assigned routes to deliver products. Deliver product in timely fashion. Check product prior to delivery to ensure that it meets proper quality requirements. Ensure vehicle is functioning properly before, during and after driving route. Maintain all necessary vehicle logs as directed by the Manager. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers. Learn the customer's business needs. Collect customer information and documentation as needed. Inform Management of any service or product complaints from accounts so that issues can be quickly resolved. Ensure that all invoices and documentation are signed. Collect checks from customers if directed and as needed. Stock product in select stores and maintain back stock Perform routine maintenance and upkeep on Company vehicles (i.e., check oil, battery, tires, etc.). Inform vehicle maintenance needs to Manager. Cleaning vans as needed. REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent; or minimum of six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Possess current driver's license, with a clean driving record. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee is required to operate a Company vehicle. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to various conditions and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to cold, hot, and moderate weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
