Backroom Associate / Key Holder – 40 hours - $16.00 Betty Griffin Center is a non-profit agency that offers protection and services to victims of domestic and sexual violence. Our teamwork-focused culture is characterized by cooperation, collaboration, and fairness. Proceeds from our thrift shoppes help us to provide our survivors with the services needed. We are looking for fun, friendly people to work in our upbeat work environment. In preparation for display on the sales floor, the Thrift Shoppe Retail Stocker sorts, processes, and prices donated merchandise in accordance with established procedures. Responsible for sorting and processing donated clothing and merchandise, including researching pricing, and learning to identify high-end and designer brands. Duties also include: Opening and closing the store as assigned. Processing customer returns and exchanges. Cleaning and organizing the backroom, processing area, and sales floor. Tagging, pricing, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. Stock and replenish merchandise on the sales floor. Standing for extended periods and lifting/moving merchandise. Assisting in other departments as needed. Cross training on the register and other areas of the store. Providing dependable support for daily store operations and assisting with key holder responsibilities. Providing dependable support to daily store operations and assisting with key holder responsibilities QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), must be 18 years or older. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.
