Duties Safely operate commercial trucks equipped for freight transportation across various routes, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo. Conduct routine inspections of trucks and equipment, performing basic automotive repairs or coordinating maintenance as needed to keep vehicles in optimal condition. Manage freight documentation accurately, including manifests, delivery receipts, and logs for inbound and outbound shipments. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse teams, and clients to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and any logistical updates. Maintain a clean driving record by practicing safe driving habits at all times during your routes. Assist with warehouse duties when necessary, supporting overall operations to ensure smooth workflow. Requirements Valid AZ commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with freight transportation experience. Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols for loading/unloading cargo. Basic automotive repair skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road or at the yard. Strong organizational skills for managing documentation and adhering to schedules. Ability to work independently while maintaining a proactive approach to safety and efficiency.
