Job Overview We currently need 1 year or more experienced AZ cross border company drivers residing in the Niagara Region. Looking to hire local company drivers! ( must reside in Niagara Region) All applicants must have the following: Ability to cross border for local work only. Ability to work weekends minimum 3 days per month G. We are looking for 1 year or more experienced drivers to operate local in Southern Ontario & South Western Ontario. (home daily) GZL is fortunate to have a strong customer base of which we have decades’ long relationships with. This provides us with steady, consistent work. As a Local Driver, you start and finish round trips from our Niagara Falls terminal, Our own on-site shop limits any down time. We pay all our local company drivers hourly and provide outstanding benefits after 90 days. We have a long-tenured, experienced operations staff that understands the challenges facing today’s driver and are skilled to keep you moving. Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailer to transport freight across designated routes. (Ontario/WNY) Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations Follow Hours of Service rules and maintain accurate records of deliveries Communicate effectively with dispatch Adhere to all local, state, provincial and federal transportation regulations Experience Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Minimum 1-year verifiable AZ experience. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
