This is not a long-haul position. Our drivers are home daily.

The Role
Our drivers handle LTL pickups and deliveries throughout Central Ontario, Northern Ontario, Toronto and the GTA.
Depending on the day's requirements, you may operate:
• Tractor-trailer day cabs
• Straight trucks
This is a position for an experienced driver who is comfortable working independently. Our drivers are expected to manage their routes, communicate with customers and dispatch, navigate unfamiliar delivery locations and make good decisions throughout the day without requiring constant direction.
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of commercial driving experience
• Valid AZ or DZ licence (AZ preferred)
• Clean driver's abstract and strong safety record
• LTL, P&D or multi-stop freight experience
• Comfortable driving in Toronto and the GTA
• Comfortable operating in rural and Northern Ontario
• Confident backing into docks and customer locations
• Able to safely handle and secure freight
• Professional and comfortable dealing directly with customers
• Dependable, punctual and able to work independently
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Technology
Drivers must be comfortable using a smartphone or tablet as part of their daily work.
This includes:
• Electronic Hours of Service / ELD
• Communication with dispatch
• Navigation and trip information
• Electronic shipment information
• Electronic Bills of Lading and shipment tracking as these systems are introduced
You do not need to be highly technical, but you must be comfortable learning and using basic mobile applications.
Assets
• Forklift experience or certification
• Experience with both tractor-trailers and straight trucks
• Manual transmission experience
• Extensive Ontario LTL/P&D experience
