AZ/DZ Driver

Job Description We are looking for dependable, safety-conscious DZ and AZ Truck Drivers to join our scrap yard team. The successful candidates will be responsible for transporting scrap metal, recyclable materials, and other loads between customer locations, scrap yards, and processing facilities. The ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and experience operating commercial vehicles in an industrial or scrap metal environment. Key Responsibilities Operate DZ- or AZ-class trucks safely to transport scrap metal and recyclable materials. Pick up and deliver scrap materials from commercial, industrial, and customer locations. Transport loads between scrap yards, warehouses, and processing facilities. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Ensure loads are properly secured and comply with weight restrictions and transportation regulations. Assist with loading and unloading activities when required. Follow all applicable Ministry of Transportation (MTO) regulations and company safety procedures. Complete required paperwork, delivery tickets, inspection reports, and driver logs. Communicate with dispatch, yard personnel, and customers regarding pickups and deliveries. Report vehicle defects, safety concerns, accidents, and load discrepancies promptly. Maintain a clean vehicle and a safe working environment. Pay: $27.00-$40.00 per hour Licence/Certification: AZ or DZ (required) Work Location: In person
