ABOUT THE POSITION Reporting to the SVP, Business Development, the AVP, Operations provides strategic and operational leadership across Cary Medical Management's (CMM) network of primary care practices. This role oversees multi-site operations, financial performance, operational efficiency, and the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. Working closely with executive leadership, physicians, and practice administrators, the AVP drives operational excellence, organizational growth, and value-based care initiatives while ensuring alignment with CMM's strategic objectives. QUALIFICATIONS Operational Leadership & Strategic Planning Provide leadership and oversight of daily operations across all CMM practice locations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and alignment with organizational objectives. Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and standardized workflows that support organizational growth, quality care, and long-term sustainability. Evaluate practice operations, identify performance gaps, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, patient access, and service delivery. Lead cross-functional initiatives and coordinate with corporate departments to ensure successful execution of organizational priorities. Financial & Performance Management Oversee practice-level financial performance, including operating budgets, labor costs, provider productivity, expenses, and profitability. Collaborate with executive leadership and Finance on budgeting, forecasting, cost containment, and resource allocation. Establish, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate practice performance and implement corrective action plans. Optimize staffing models, inventory management, vendor expenditures, and operational resources to improve financial and operational efficiency. Clinical Operations & Value-Based Care Partner with physicians and clinical leadership to optimize patient scheduling, care delivery workflows, patient satisfaction, and overall practice performance. Support the implementation and execution of value-based care initiatives, including quality measures, risk adjustment, patient engagement, and care gap closure. Collaborate with clinical, technology, and payer partners to improve operational processes and support contractual performance objectives. Ensure consistent operational standards that promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and efficient care delivery across all locations. Leadership & Organizational Development Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance oversight to practice administrators and designated operational leaders. Establish clear performance expectations, promote accountability, and support leadership development and succession planning. Partner with Human Resources on workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management. Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture that supports employee engagement, professional development, and organizational effectiveness. Organizational Growth & Compliance Collaborate with executive leadership on practice expansion, provider recruitment, operational integrations, and new service development.
