Aviation Logistics Dispatcher

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Aviation Logistics Dispatcher duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Coordinate daily flight schedules, crew changes, and passenger and cargo movements in support of offshore operations. Communicate with offshore operations, helicopter operators, and logistics to confirm flight requirements, passenger readiness, cargo priorities, and schedule changes. Coordinate responses to weather-related disruptions, aircraft availability issues, changing operational priorities, and emergency transportation requests in accordance with established procedures. Verify that passenger manifests, travel requirements, and required preflight safety procedures are completed; identify and resolve passenger, baggage, cargo, and scheduling discrepancies before departure, escalating issues as necessary. Utilize designated aviation and logistics systems to manage flight requests, passenger movements, manifests, and required operational records. Maintain accurate flight activity records, spend tracking, and other assigned aviation logistics documentation. Review flight records and cost allocations for accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate corrections with Logistics and helicopter operators. Develop, maintain, and report aviation logistics performance metrics, including flight activity, aircraft utilization, passenger loads, spend, and other measures that support operational and cost performance. Analyze aviation logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities; recommend and implement approved changes to improve flight planning, aircraft utilization, service reliability, and cost efficiency. Identify and report recurring system or data-quality issues, including duplicate personnel or asset records and passenger check-in discrepancies. Coordinate supplemental ground transportation for passengers and cargo when required to support aviation logistics activities. Promote Incident Free Operations by following Talos HSE policies, established aviation logistics procedures, and applicable heliport requirements; promptly communicate operational safety concerns to the appropriate stakeholders. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience coordinating dispatch activities for offshore operations or in a comparable logistics/operations role. High School Diploma or equivalent. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: Relevant experience in aviation logistics, offshore logistics, dispatching, or a similar operational environment; offshore oil and gas experience preferred. Working knowledge of flight scheduling, passenger and cargo coordination, manifests, crew changes, and aviation logistics processes preferred. Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transportation requirements, changing priorities, and time-sensitive operational demands. Communicates effectively, both verbal and written. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment and adapt to schedule changes, weather disruptions, aircraft availability, and other changing requirements. CERTIFICATES & LICENSES: In GOA Operations a minimum of 30 CFR 250 (T-2) certification is required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Offshore employees must be able to consistently meet the following physical requirements for the duration of a shift (14 consecutive - 12 hour days). STANDING – Ability to remain feet in an upright position at a workstation on hard/uneven surfaces (concrete/grating/steel) without moving about. WALKING – Ability to move about on foot on hard/uneven surfaces (concrete/grating/steel). LIFTING – Ability to raise or lower 50 lbs., from floor to waist, from one level to another. SWING ROPE – Must be able to transfer from boats to landing areas of the platforms during moderate to heavy seas. STAIRS – Ability to move up and down stairs while carrying equipment.
