Automotive Tool Crib Attendant

New England Institute of Technology, Warwick RI, is seeking a full-time Tool Crib Attendant for our automotive program to manage automotive tools and equipment and ensuring a safe and organized lab environment for students and instructors. Responsibilities include inventory control, check-in/check-out of tools, maintaining logs and purchase requisitions, coordinating vendor deliveries, assisting instructors with lab setup, and upholding OSHA safety standards. A high school diploma is required; an AS degree is preferred. Qualifications · Must have a high school diploma, AS degree preferred Familiarity with automotive and diesel repair tools and diagnostic equipment. Responsibilities · Maintain accurate inventory control of automotive tools, parts, and supplies. Check tools in and out to students and instructors. Maintain logs and purchase orders; verify accuracy and update statuses. Coordinate ordering and receiving from designated vendors. Load and unload vendor deliveries; assist instructors with classroom and lab setup. Ensure work areas comply with OSHA safety standards; monitor facilities and report repairs. Perform general custodial duties and keep labs clean and safe.
