Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on both light vehicles and heavy trucks, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive schematics to troubleshoot issues accurately. Conduct welding and assembly tasks as needed to repair or modify vehicle components. Follow detailed schematics and technical manuals to interpret vehicle systems and execute repairs precisely. Assist with vehicle inspections, routine maintenance, oil changes, brake repairs, engine diagnostics, and other mechanical services. Engage in heavy lifting and physical tasks safely to handle parts and equipment during repair procedures. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and ensure all work meets safety standards. Qualifications Proven dealership or automotive repair experience with a strong mechanical knowledge base. Hands-on experience with welding, assembly, and using various hand tools and power tools. Familiarity with schematics, vehicle diagnostics software, and technical manuals. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a busy workshop environment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs and maintenance needs. Previous mechanic experience working on both light vehicles and heavy trucks is highly desirable. Knowledge of maintenance procedures, automotive systems, and troubleshooting techniques is essential.
