Automotive Service and Parts Advisor

Job Summary The Automotive Service and Parts Advisor helps customers understand repair and parts options, coordinates service needs, and supports a smooth experience from initial inquiry through follow-up. This customer-facing role combines automotive knowledge, clear communication, and sales skills to connect customers with appropriate services and parts. Responsibilities Listen to customer concerns, gather vehicle and service details, and explain repair recommendations and parts options in clear, practical terms. Coordinate service requests with technicians and parts staff, track updates, and keep customers informed about next steps. Prepare estimates or sales transactions, handle cash accurately, and maintain complete records of customer interactions and purchases. Identify relevant additional services or parts and use thoughtful upselling to support customer needs. Skills Required: Practical customer service, clear communication, accurate recordkeeping, and cash-handling capabilities support daily customer interactions and transactions. Mechanical knowledge helps you understand automotive repair needs, explain service options, and communicate effectively with technicians and parts colleagues. Preferred: Dealership experience, mechanic experience, or a background in automotive repair can strengthen your understanding of service workflows. Sales and upselling skills are helpful for identifying relevant options and presenting them respectfully, with attention to customer needs and trust.
