Automotive Service Advisor/ Parts Desk

Job Summary We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor/Parts Desk professional to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers needing vehicle service and parts assistance. Your expertise in automotive repair, mechanical knowledge, and sales skills will ensure a seamless experience for clients while supporting the service department’s operational needs. Responsibilities Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing a positive rapport to enhance customer satisfaction. Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues for service technicians. Recommend appropriate services and parts based on customer needs and vehicle requirements. Handle transactions and process payments efficiently at the parts desk. Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and services. Maintain accurate records of service orders, parts inventory, and customer interactions. Assist customers in selecting the right parts and accessories, providing technical guidance when necessary. Promote ongoing customer relationships through follow-up and excellent service delivery. Keep parts warehouse organized and put away new stock as it arrives. Experience Previous Automotive experience is highly preferred, providing familiarity with automotive sales and service processes. Mechanic or automotive repair experience is a strong asset, offering mechanical knowledge that enhances customer consultations. Proven customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients. Experience in sales, including upselling techniques, to increase revenue opportunities responsibly. Cash handling experience to manage transactions accurately and securely. Knowledge of automotive parts cataloging systems and inventory management is advantageous.
